Pace Communications Takes Top Honors at Custom Publishing Council’s Annual Pearl Awards
Annual Competition Recognizes Excellence in Custom Publishing

Greensboro , NC, November 21, 2005—Pace Communications, the world’s largest privately owned custom-publishing company, was honored with 10 awards of distinction from The Custom Publishing Council’s (CPC) annual Pearl Awards at a gala dinner in New York City on November 18. Through these awards, the CPC—along with its panel of esteemed judges—celebrates excellence in journalism, graphic design, publication packaging, and the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies built around custom publication. Pace Communications publishes the inflight magazines for Delta Air Lines, United, and US Airways as well as custom publications for AAA and Carlson Hospitality Worldwide.

Earlier this year, Pace Airline Media, the newly created multimedia arm of Pace Communications, commemorated the historic pairing of Pinehurst and St.Andrews as hosts of the U.S. and British Opens in a special editorial supplement celebrating the history and tradition of the two prestigious golf courses. The insert was featured in the June issues of US Airways Attaché and United Hemispheres, and took home a silver Pearl Award for distribution strategy.
