Pace Communications Celebrated at Custom Publishing Council's Annual Pearl Awards
Annual Competition Recognizes Excellence in Custom Publishing

Greensboro, NC (November 21, 2006)— Pace Communications, the world's largest privately-owned custom publishing company, was honored with six awards of distinction from The Custom Publishing Council's (CPC) annual Pearl Awards at a gala dinner in New York City on November 16. With the awards, the CPC—along with its panel of esteemed judges—celebrate excellence in journalism, graphic design, publication packaging and the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies built around custom publications. Pace Communications publishes the in-flight magazines for Delta Air Lines, United U.S. Airways and, from January 2007, Southwest Airlines. The company also produces custom publications for organizations including American Cancer Society, The North Face, Wachovia Wealth Management, and Carlson Hotels Worldwide.

Since the custom publisher was honored at last year's Pearl Awards, Pace Communications has continued to increase the profile of its established magazines, as well as add new clients to its impressive portfolio. January 2006 saw the launch of the critically acclaimed U.S. Airways Magazine, and this spring, Pace created Wachovia Wealth Management's publication, Renaissance. In addition, Pace devised and produced the online magazine Epic for The North Face's loyal following of outdoor enthusiasts.

"Our clients include some of the most prestigious corporate brands in the world," said Craig Waller, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of Pace Communications. "Their names are trusted and respected, and as a company, we see it as our obligation to create the very highest quality editorial and design content. The Pearl Awards not only validate that we are serving our clients well, but that we are earning the respect of our peers in the custom publishing industry."
