Veteran Luxury-Lifestyle Editor Joins Pace Communications

Company continues to expand luxury expertise.

Greensboro, NC (April 12, 2011) – A leader in custom marketing content, Pace Communications announced today that it has retained veteran luxury-lifestyle editor Gary Walther as an editorial consultant.

Walther will be immediately consulting on the editorial packaging of Four Seasons Magazine, where he will work with Executive Editor Susan Weissman to continue to evolve the award-winning publication and website.

“Gary is a leader in developing luxury editorial content, and we are excited to have him on the Pace team,” said Craig Waller, president Airline Media, and CMO of Pace Communications.

Walther has been in the travel and luxury-lifestyle field for 25 years, since he joined the staff of Travel & Leisure. His specialty has been creating and developing affluent-lifestyle magazines that marry elegant design with sharply packaged content.

His career milestones have included building Departures into a luxury-lifestyle powerhouse; launching Expedia Travels magazine (Ziff Davis), one of the first publications to cover the interface of real and virtual travel; reconceiving and relaunching SpaFinder and making it one of the leading voices in the field; and redesigning and retooling ForbesLife.

Walther attended Washington University and the Goethe Institute in Vienna and lives in New York City. But he believes that the travel he’s done in the course of his career—59 countries and counting—has been the best education anyone could ever have.
